Friday, 23 May 2008

Quarterly staff magazine Newview and fortnightly e-newsletter Eview are competing against some big names for a gold award in the Chartered Institute of Public Relations (CIPR) Excellence Awards.

Newview is competing in the Internal Newspaper or Magazine category, while Eview is up against some stiff competition in the e-Newsletters and Magazines category.

Aimed at all the university’s 4,500 staff, including academics, Newview covers a mixture of news, profiles, research successes, event listings and sport. Eview includes staff offers, competitions, networking routes and adverts.

This year’s CIPR Excellence Awards attracted a record 853 entries across 28 categories. Shortlisted entrants are meeting judges throughout May and June, and the awards’ Diamond Dinner will be held on September 15 at the London Hilton, Park Lane.
